National Mathematical Olympiad - I 2025

NMO or National Mathematical Olympiad is Pakistan’s Math organized by Great Future Pakistan. It invites students of Grades 3 – 12 & Bachelors-Masters to exhibit their attained knowledge and skills in mathematics at a neutral platform. For a minimal registration fee, the participants are allowed to display their talent at problem-solving, critical thinking, and calculations while combating with other participants from the same grades but different schools, cities, regions, and provinces.

National Math’s Olympiad is Pakistan’s mathematical contest that invites students of Grades 3 – 12 & Bachelors-Masters to exhibit their attained knowledge and skills in mathematics at a neutral platform. Great Future Pakistan organizes this program at the National Level only.

Objectives

Math Olympiad contests aim to foster an interest in math and improve the mathematical skills of participants through individual/team-based competitions. They exist nationally and internationally for students in grades 3 through 12. The National Maths Olympiad Challenge provides engaging math online tests and preparatory content to primary and middle school students worldwide. We understand that all students are different and hence we focus on all ability levels to build confidence and improve attitudes towards math and problem-solving.

WHAT STUDENT GETS FROM THIS OLYMPIAD?

  • Enhanced Skills and Knowledge: Students improve their Mathematics skills and logical reasoning, promoting well-rounded intellectual growth.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Develop analytical and reasoning skills by solving complex questions and scenarios in the Mathematics sections.
  • Holistic Development: Participation develops the creativity, mental agility, and communication skills necessary for academic and personal success.
  • The Olympiad contributes as a learning process for students in different rounds of different important subjects. Schools & Colleges can enroll their students in preparation for Board Exams, as we offer online test series in the form of Olympiads.

Pakistan's Largest National Level Math Olympiad

Eligibility

  • Students from all disciplines can apply.
  • Pakistani citizens & international students residing in Pakistan can apply.
  • Students from Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Afghan Residents (Students) in Pakistan, and Gilgit Baltistan can register.
  • There is no restriction on minimum marks for the Math Olympiad.
  • There are 04 Categories
  • Category-I: Category-I is named as NMO-I for Junior Classes. In this Category, students from grades 3rd to 8th can apply.
  • Category-II: Category-II is named as NMO-II. In this Category, Matric/O-Levels Students either of class 9th or 10th can apply.
  • Category-III: Category-III is named as NMO-III. In this Category, Intermediate/A-Levels Students either of class 11th or 12th can apply.
  • Category-IV: Category-IV is named as NMO-IV. In this Category, Undergraduate/Bachelors & Masters Students can apply.
  • Application Fee is Rs 500/-

(NMO)

Selection Process of National Mathematics Olympiad

  • In Round I, students securing 80% or more will be selected for Round II.
  • In Round II, students securing 90% or more will be selected for the Final Round.
  • After the Final Round, 10 students will be selected for a scholarship award. 
  • A merit list of the top ten Olympiad winners is prepared based on the Final Round Test of selected candidates. Rounds I and II contribute to the filtration process for the Olympiad. 
  • The Olympiad contributes as a learning process for students in different rounds of different important subjects.

AWARDS

  • All the students who participated will receive an Appreciation E-Certificate.
  • Scholarship amount may vary between PKR 15,000 – 20, 000.
  • Selected students after Round III will receive cash awards through scholarships and scholarship E-Certificates & may receive recognition and exposure through magazines, e-newsletters, and social media.

  • The start for submission of applications is Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
  • The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, February 28, 2025.
  • Roll Number Slips will be issued till Tuesday, March 04, 2025.
  • Every candidate will receive updates through E-mails after the deadline so please enter your correct & active email.
  • Test Sessions for Round I will start on Friday, March 07, 2025.
  • Results will be announced for Round I on Monday, March 10, 2025.
  • Test Sessions for Round I will start on Friday, March 14, 2025.
  • Results will be announced for Round II on Monday, March 14, 2025.
  • Test Sessions for the Final Round will start on Friday, March 21, 2025.
  • Results will be announced for Round II on Monday, March 24, 2025.
  • These dates may vary and can be changed according to the situation and dates for further processes will be sent through E-mail to successful candidates.
